  Winter in Texas

  This unit should be better equipped for winter Texans, we were lucky because we have property on the Island which allowed us to supplement the cooking utensils, pans and dishes, but it is obvious that this unit is supplied for summer visitors who do not cook or eat in much. We would also suggest that the cable system be pemenantly upgraded to Extended basic, the cost is not that much and it leads to better user satisfaction. I think with the router we installed the internet system has been corrected. The unit overall is very nice, just minor details which make it a better rental should be considered.

  The over all stay was good and I would rent from you again. The only thing I recommend is you should offer at least offer one movie channel (HBO, Cimmemax, ect). Thank you very much for a very enjoyfull vacation for my family and myself.

  I was not pleased with the lack of amenities. I spent an unnecessary amount of money purchasing basic household items (toilet paper, shampoo, dish & hand soap, cleaning agents, bbq pit) and kitchen supplies (napkins, salt, pepper, coffee filters, coffee) that I feel should have been provided. Why provide a coffee pot with no filters or coffee! When we arrived the unit smelled of poison so we had to air out the place & spray febreeze (did not go away all weekend). I also didn't like that this unit did not have a washer/dryer. The beds were quite uncomfortable & the mattresses made obnoxious noises. Not of great importance, but the safety gate that led from the unit to the pool opened awkwardly and caused many pinched fingers. However, the location was great (short walking distance from the beach & centrally located on the island) & the private pool was a great plus.
