There are many golf courses to choose from within a short drive from the island, the closest one being the South Padre Island Golf Course, just a fifteen minute drive away. As per the Travel Channel, we have the number 1 rated water park in the country, Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark, right here on the island. Jet skiing,parasailing, looking for sea shells, or just a walk on the beach are an anytime activity. During the winter time, the bird watching is thrilling.
